Paper Town for a Paper Girl

Paper Towns by John Green

I had read Paper Towns by John Green about a year ago. Looking for Alaska and The Fault in our Stars are the other books I have read from the same author. Paper Towns  is a coming of age story written with so much simplicity yet so much depth. This book is my favorite among all his books I have read (I still need to read Abundance of Katherines).

Yesterday I went to watch the movie adaptation of this book, and let me say you I was not dissapointed at all. The character representation were so close to what I had imagined and loved how the overall point of the whole story was put forth for the non readers understand easily.
People fail to understand how complex a human being is, and that each of us is made of several layers. Just because you see the outer layer (which may not even be a layer) you misjudge the person for not who he/she is but who you want him/her to be. Values like importance of taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone, the societal ideas of happiness and importance of friendship is displayed is such a finesse, my heart skipped several beats multiple times while reading the book as well the movie.
